We had a great trip to Crucial Crew on Wednesday! The workshop, run by the St Albans Community Safety Partnership, covered a wide range of safety aspects, brought to life through real-life scenarios. These included personal and online safety, how to respond to hazards in the home and outdoors, how to spot and deal with everyday dangers from house fires to flood water, how to cope with intimidation and cyber bullying, knife crime, road and railway line safety, first aid, the dangerous effects of alcohol and emotional wellbeing/mental health with Herts MIND Network.
The children participated with enthusiasm, asked thoughtful questions and learned some hugely valuable life skills. They also walked all the way there and back, in the rain, and stayed cheerful throughout.
Amazing work, Year 6!
