Shapes in the environment
As part of learning about shapes in Maths, we explored our outdoor learning area looking for shapes. We found circles, triangles, rectangles, squares and octagons.
Junk modelling
Reception have been exploring junk modelling this half term. We have explored a variety of joining techniques as well as developing our cutting skills. We planned our creations with an adult before beginning. We were very proud of our models!
Outdoor learning
We have been enjoying taking part in a range of outdoor activities, including construction, dinosaurs in the small world, musical performances on the stage, drawing, water play and caring for the babies.

Christmas themed activities
Reception have enjoyed taking part in Christmas themed activities.
Outdoor learning
We have been enjoying using our outdoor learning area, including the mud kitchen, garden area, water, sand, drawing, painting and construction.

In our PE lessons we have been focussing on throwing and catching. We learnt how to use an underarm technique as well as an overarm throw. The children in Reception have been enjoying using our woodland space to take part in different outdoor activities.
